OUR STORY

Kidz4 was founded in 2022 by Lauren Weston after more than 13 years working in independent schools across London and Beijing as a Director of Sport. Over those years, she saw something important: children were struggling with confidence, focus, and emotional balance, yet wellbeing rarely had a meaningful place in the school day. She created Kidz4 to change that.

What began as wellbeing-focused after-school clubs quickly demonstrated their impact, leading schools to invite Lauren to deliver PSHE workshops and assemblies. From there, she developed an outstanding 11+ programme designed to reduce anxiety during the transition phase, created with input from psychologists, Qi Gong teachers, and leading yoga practitioners. The programme was first pioneered at Thomas’ Battersea and has since become a trusted, wellbeing-centred approach to 11+ support.

Lauren’s passion for wellbeing is deeply personal. Growing up, she often put enormous pressure on herself and wished she had a stronger toolkit to manage friendship ups and downs, her parents’ divorce, exam pressure, and the demands of competitive sport. Those experiences shaped her belief that children deserve practical, evidence-informed strategies to stay grounded and resilient, no matter what life brings.

Now an international athlete representing the Great Britain Triathlon Team and a new mum, she sees more clearly than ever how essential emotional wellbeing is for long-term confidence and success. Kidz4 was built with that in mind: a programme she wishes she’d had herself, designed to give today’s children the resilience, calm, and self-belief they need to thrive at school, at home, and beyond.

Since launch, Kidz4 has taught over 1,000 children across more than 15 London schools, with some children staying with us for three years and counting. Our fun-filled programmes combine yoga, mindfulness, and movement games with multi-sports and summer athletics, helping kids grow stronger, happier, and more confident. With our success, we’re now expanding into Buckinghamshire—always keeping children at the heart of everything we do.
